- Important: Self-motivated and proactive
- Academic interests in Math/Physics/CS/IE/EE/ME/BME subjects such as Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Mathematical Analysis, Statistics, Mechanics, Computer Simulations, Signal Processing, Optimization, Algorithms, (Non-) Linear Control, and Deep Learning
- Interests in clinical medicine, biology, or healthcare
- Good programming (or mathematical modelling) skills or learning curves
- An willingness to deeply understand the methodology going beyond simple (biological/clinical/healthcare) applications

You can contact the Principal Investigator (PI) with your CV, academic transcript, and research interests. I recommend that you prepare at least one Letter of Recommendation (LOR) from your colleagues (peers), if possible. The LOR should be sent to me directly by your peer(s).
Additionally, I recommend you send me your Statement of Purpose (SOP), although this is optional.
Important Note: In our lab, we generally do not consider candidates for PhD or combined Master’s-PhD integrated programs unless they have previously participated as student interns contributing to our research projects.
